The Berlin Wall was built along the border between East Germany and West Germany in Berlin.

Presently

Berlin was split in half by the Berlin Wall as representative of Germany being split in half but the city of Berlin was actually in East Germany. There was a train that went from West Germany to West Berlin and there were airdrops that supplied West Berlin.
